Proposed Amendment to the Commercial Cannabis Business Ordinance Code
On April 21, 2020, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors amended of the Commercial Cannabis Business chapter of the Ordinance Code to increase the security related requirements for commercial cannabis license applicants and operating licensed businesses. Amendments include new requirements to submit a business Floor Plan and Odor Control Plan, amended requirements for the Site Plan and Security Plan including 24 hour cameras, security, and lighting, security focused building requirements, additional criminal history check and background investigation for all owners, and a new requirement that all licensed commercial cannabis businesses provide their employees with a picture identification badge.
